Movember is the leading Men’s Health Organisation and Charity changing the face of men’s health globally, tackling mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. In our mission to stop men dying too young, we’re seeking a passionate Full Stack Developer to join our Movember Tech Team based in Australia.
About the role
In this position, you will collaborate with our product development team located in Melbourne. This team is responsible for constructing and upkeeping digital platforms that facilitate fundraising and support men's health initiatives. Your responsibilities will include building and deploying code across the entire development stack, as well as exploring creative approaches to achieve optimal results for both our business and the men we aim to assist.
Some of your responsibilities will be:
- Work in a product development team responsible for delivering changes across the Movember’s technical platforms.
- Build & deliver code across the full development stack finding innovative ways to deliver the best outcomes for our business and the amazing MoBros and MoSistas that support us.
- Raise and help resolve technical blockers, and take responsibility to resolve any issues as soon as possible to ensure the Movember’s technical product roadmap can be successfully developed.
- Ensure quality (inclusive of security) is maintained across all technical deliverables, by building quality code, contributing to peer code reviews and contributing to our quality practices and automation test frameworks.
- Use, extend or establish build pipelines.
- Responsible for technical inputs to the agile delivery process, including story card reviews, tech spikes, estimation, etc.
- Help support year round BAU changes to ensure that small tweaks can be easily delivered.
- Contribute to technical support, required for your given platform
For this role, you’ll need:
- 3+ years’ experience developing across the Full Stack including NodeJS / React / NextJS / JavaScript / Typescript.
- Technical knowledge of CSS, CSS frameworks like bootstrap & responsive design preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
- Familiarity with automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience working with agile development processes.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to translate business needs into technical language.
Bonus points for:
- Experience developing native mobile apps, PWAs.
- Experience with the AWS platform.
- Exposure to non-relational DB’s such as mongoDB, DynamoDB &/or relational db’s like MySQL.
- Understanding or exposure to test automation methodologies.
