About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join the Village Cinemas Digital Experience team. In this role you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams and delivering high-quality, innovative digital products for the Village Cinemas digital portfolio. You'll play a key role in providing both backend and front end support as Village shifts towards a headless tech stack architecture.
You'll work closely with our developers, applications team and UX/UI agency to deliver best-in-class digital experiences for our customers. This is your chance to enhance the online experience of the millions of Australians who choose to watch their favourite movies with Village Cinemas.
Key responsibilities include:

• Develop high quality functional, responsive and appealing digital solutions
• Work on both front end website architecture and back-end website applications
• Design and develop APIs and integrate with third-party services
• Review current systems and technologies and re-design/re-implement those that are outdated or inefficient
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and coding standards
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Provide ongoing support to the Village Cinemas digital portfolio to ensure customers are receiving the best possible experience
• Assist with debugging and resolving potential issues to help facilitate successful outcomes and resolve blockers
• Ensure development processes are always being followed in-house and by vendors
• Communicate with cross functional teams to determine the best solutions to difficult problems

About You
To be successful, you will have:

• Experience working with backend technologies such as ASP.NET & C#
• Experience working with front end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React/Redux, Next.js
• Experience with customer-facing applications/websites
• Understanding of UX/UI principles including responsive design
• Experience working with API driven solutions (REST web services)
• Experience using Git and Atlassian toolset (Bitbucket/Jira/Confluence)
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Good understanding of working within an Agile environment, with previous involvement working with the Scrum framework
• Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service!

It's a bonus if you have:

• Experience with a headless CMS such as Contentful and associated tech stack technologies such as Vercel
• Sitecore CMS experience
• Experience with build tools such as Gulp and Webpack
• Experience in utilising design tools such as Figma
• Experience with AWS Lambda
• Experience with accessibility best practices
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD process
