Full Stack Tech Lead

Robert Walters has been engaged by one of Australia's best known household names to find a talented Fullstack Tech Lead on a rolling contract basis. You'll be providing technical leadership to a squad of full-stack engineers in the business' content team, ensuring customers are served relevant and tailored content in real time.
About the Role;
As a hands-on Tech Lead, you'll be responsible for frontend development in both Angular and React, as well as providing technical leadership and mentoring to your squad. Whilst API development is not the focus of this squad, it will be important to have a solid understanding of API platforms, in particular Node.js.
When it comes to the development of new features, you'll be empowered to make technical decisions, and to work with architects to determine the best tools for the job.
About the Requirements;

• Fullstack engineering experience with strong background in front end technologies.
• Professional work experience with Content Management Systems such as AEM or contentful
• Ability to develop content pipelines preferably in ecommerce platforms.
• Extensive experience in front end technologies like Angular or React.
• Professional work experience in Cloud Platform is a must (GCP is preferable!)
• Knowledge of key GCP services - CloudRun, Cloud SQL, Firestore
• Provide thought leadership in front end technologies
• Architect, implement and improve possible automations for cloud environments using native or 3rd party tools like Terraform.
• Recommends alterations to development and design to improve the quality of products and/or procedures.
• Implementation of industry standard security practices during implementation and maintain it throughout the lifecycle.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures through automation tools. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Experience in api platforms like Node.js
• Knowledge CDN platforms like Cloud CDN or Akamai.
• In-depth knowledge of design, implementation, engineering, automation and devops implementation, service operation and service improvement initiatives
• Strong working knowledge of Git and Github actions.
• Experience using test-driven development with appropriate level of coverage.
• Ability to communicate well with both technical and business stakeholders
