Role:
We're currently seeking a skilled Accountant to become a full-time member of our team. This role is perfect for someone ready to dive into a dynamic work environment, offering comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure a seamless transition into our close-knit family of professionals.
Role Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, Group Accountant and Business Director.
- Managing the Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing and payments using Zoho Books.
- Taking ownership of the Accounts Receivable function, encompassing invoicing, payment allocation, dispute resolution, and credit control.
- Conducting reconciliation and processing of corporate cards, travel accounts, and motor vehicle fleet.
- Maintaining customer and vendor master data.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining purchase orders for new stock, adding new stock to the inventory module with accurate data entry, and overseeing quarterly stocktakes conducted by a third-party provider.
- Fixed Assets Register maintenance.
- Performing bank reconciliations.
- Preparing month-end reporting.
- Assisting with general ledger control accounts reconciliation, statutory tax preparation and lodgment (FBT, BAS, Income Tax) working alongside tax advisers.
- Budget preparation with rolling forecasts.
- Payroll processing.
- Undertaking additional ad hoc tasks as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Exhibits strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Has at least five years of experience in accounting.
- Is proficient in Word and Excel.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, reliability and strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Zoho Books is an advantage.
