About the role:
Due to the rapid growth, we are now seeking a driven Financial Accountant who will support our finance team by ensuring accuracy of financial documents, and often, compliance with regulatory standards. Based in our Banksmeadow office, this role reports to the CFO and will be a key member within the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements).
- Manage tax payments.
- Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department).
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
- Preparing monthly depreciation and maintain Fixed Asset Register.
- Prepare monthly prepayment schedule.
- Posting monthly journals.
- Reconciliation of accounts.
- Assisting audit with external auditor or other audit tasks.
- Preparing cashflow forecast.
- Other duties may be assigned.
About You:
- Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
- In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
- Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
- Excellent math skills with an attention to detail
- Time-management abilities
- Confidentiality
- BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Additional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
- Can-do, hands-on mindset with the ability to work autonomously as required
