The Door Store is Victoria's leading manufacturer and supplier of internal, external, and security doors. With a showroom spanning over 2 acres and featuring more than 300 doors, we are a dynamic company in need of a full-time Carpenter. Candidates should have a positive attitude, a passion for carpentry, at least two years of relevant experience, and a minimum of a Certificate 3 in Carpentry or equivalent substantial experience. This full-time role offers a salary of $70,000 plus superannuation.
As a qualified carpenter, your responsibilities and tasks will include:
Position Responsibilities:
The role involves a variety of tasks including:
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, blueprints, and building plans to assess material needs, dimensions, and installation procedures.
- Selecting and ordering timbers and materials, and preparing layouts.
- Cutting materials and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts.
- Installing fascia panels and fitting door and window frames.
- Constructing wood structures and fittings for installation.
- Working with various building materials including plastic laminates, Perspex, and others.
- Adhering to Australian building standards, legislation, and regulations.
- Crafting wood joints.
- Installing door frames.
- Evaluating and repairing damaged frameworks, structures, and fixtures.
- Fixing existing fittings.
During peak times, some Saturday work may be necessary, so the successful candidate must be flexible with their working hours.
Qualifications:
- A Certificate 3 in Carpentry is mandatory.
- A Diploma in Building and Construction is preferred.
Experience Requirement:
- At least 2 years of experience as a carpenter or in a closely related role is required.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Possession of personal transport and a driver's license is essential.
