We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Carpenter to work at our BENDIGO location. The Carpentry position will report directly to the Construction Supervisor.
About you;
To be the successful applicant for this position you will have excellent craftsmanship skills and the ability to work independently and be a solution focused team member.
Qualifications:
- Trade qualification in Carpentry
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current Fork Lift Licence – not mandatory
- White Card – (Construction Induction Card)
Skills:
- Proven experience as a qualified Carpenter within the building & construction industry.
- Proficient knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods including framing, lock up, fix, cladding & decking work highly regarded
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently while working under pressure & to deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Be self-motivated, solution focused and have a positive attitude
- Physically fit and able to perform the physical requirements of the role
- Comprehensive knowledge of building methods, processes, and materials
Responsibilities:
- Take pride in the quality of workmanship
- Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code, Australian Standards, and all Occupational Health & Safety requirements met at all times
- Maintain clean and organised work areas
- Provide guidance and support to apprentices when required
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects
