About us
Family owned & operated since 1947, Coolangatta Estate is located in Shoalhaven Heads on the NSW South Coast. We offer venue hire for Weddings, Functions & Conferences, as well as operating Accommodation & Cellar Door 7 days a week.
Casual Dining is currently available to the public each Saturday for Lunch & Dinner.
Qualifications & experience
- 2+ years’ experience as a cook/chef in a full-service restaurant or similar role
- 1+ years’ experience in a supervisory role
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Dedicated to food quality and control
- Current FSS Certificate. Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Ability to meet the required service times of our guests and be flexible when needed.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Manage relationships with distributors and resolve issues with vendors promptly
- Follow the budget established by the Estate Manager
- Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking and delivering food to diners in a timely fashion
- Maintain the schedule for kitchen staff
- Monitor food and labour costs
