We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Clinical Assistant / Imaging Technician to join our busy team.
You would be required to
Previous experience in the health industry is preferred.
You will be working closely with our 3 doctors;
- Dr Richard Barry, CATARACT & VITREORETINAL SURGEON, MACULA SPECIALIST
- Dr Matthew Spargo, CATARACT & STRABISMUS SURGEON, GENERAL OPHTHALMOLOGIST
- Dr Noor Ali, CATARACT & GLAUCOMA SURGEON, UVEITIS & MEDICAL RETINA SPECIALIST, GENERAL OPHTHALMOLOGIST
The successful applicant needs to be comfortable with reporting to a senior clinical optometrist.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Patient workup
- Patient investigations - field testing, OCT, OCTA, UWF, HVF & Biometry
- Assist in preparation of the patients for minor clinical procedures
- Administrative duties as needed
We are looking for someone who will greet patients and visitors in a bright, friendly manner and promptly attend to their needs. Sound judgement, combined with a calm, mature and professional attitude will be highly regarded.
To satisfy this role, you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must be highly organised and have a high level of attention to detail.
Tidy and well-groomed presentation is essential. A uniform will be provided.
The successful applicant will be reliable, have a positive attitude and demonstrate an outstanding work ethic.
This role requires someone who is available to work flexible hours from Monday to Friday to suit the clinics requirements.
