Full time Dietitian is required for a busy mixed billing clinic in DPA location

We have a wide range of onsite Allied Health Professionals servicing our patient base, working hand in hand with our Nursing, Admin and Medical Practitioner team. We are committed to achieving the best health for our community, we are primary health care provider and we provide a range of acute, urgent, aged care, and a wide range of community health and allied services, We have many patients in need of Dietitian services and feel that having a Dietitian on the premises would be a great service to the local community.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a Dietitian with a min 2 years post graduate experience and high standards patient-focused approach who is empathetic, self-motivated and dedicated. In return you will become part of an energetic, vibrant and progressive family practice with a dedicated, and supportive team.
In this position you will be responsible for the provision of high-quality, evidence-based nutrition and dietetics services to community clients, acute inpatients and residents at Rural Health, and to be a key source of nutrition information for our patients and the community. You are expected to apply the science of human nutrition to help our patients understand the relationship between food and health and make appropriate dietary choices to attain and maintain health, and to prevent and treat illness and disease.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics
- At least two years Full time experience as a Dietitian
- Experience working in a variety of health care settings
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Current Working with Children Check and valid Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
Expected daily duties include
· planning diets and menus, and instructing people on the requirements and importance of diet and on the planning and preparation of food
· provide clinically informative, holistic assessments for a range of clients, in a range of environments
· Dietary Counseling and Education
· Weight Management Strategies
· Measure and assess the patients’ diet history along with interpreting biochemistry and anthropometric data
· Provide evidence-based nutrition advice and treatment in the areas of chronic disease prevention and management on 1 consulting with clients;
· Developing the dietetics value proposition (packages/products that can help our clients achieve their goals);
· Managing case load and clinics with support from a reception team
· collecting, organising and assessing data relating to health and nutritional status of individuals, groups and communities
· interpreting and communicating scientific information and providing advice, education and professional opinion to individuals, groups and communities
· planning, conducting and evaluating nutrition intervention programs and compiling educational material
· consulting with other Health Professionals and related workers to manage the dietary and nutritional needs of patients
· Nutritional Assessment and Planning
· fulfil administrative requirements, including record keeping, billing, and invoicing, with our support
