We are looking for an experienced Senior Registered Nurse (Div 1) to lead our existing team of friendly and highly skilled practice nurses. Our new Practice is in a prime position in Caulfield South with access to public transport and car parking.
Part-time position available.
The practice nurse is responsible for, however not limited to;
Managing and leading nursing team
Rostering
Triage;
Administration of childhood immunisations;
Administration of travel immunisations;
Preparation & administration of COVID-19 vaccinations;
Wound Care Management;
Ear Syringing (if certified to do so);
Abide by the latest accreditation standards;
Patient reminders/recalls;
Sterilization of medical equipment; and
Chronic Disease Management & Health Assessments.
Maintaining policies and procedures relevant to nursing, including cold chain and infection control
Other duties as directed by nurse and practice manager
About you:
Have a warm and reassuring approach towards patients;
Energetic and enthusiastic about nursing in General Practice and have a good sense of humour!
Ability to be methodical, organised and be able to prioritise your work;
Ability to work autonomously and in collaboration with doctors and nurses;
Interested in upskilling and expanding your scope of practice; and
Looking for a long-term nursing career in General Practice.
The successful candidate/s will have:
Current AHPRA Registration;
Registered (Div 1) Nurse
Qualified Nurse Immuniser, preferred;
Completed Ear syringing course, preferred; and
Familiar with products such as Best Practice Software, Microsoft Suite, HotDoc, preferred.
Private Billing Clinics. We are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.
