Restaurant Hosts - Reception:
Located on the rooftop of Customs House, Cafe Sydney offers spectacular views, delicious food & first class service. We currently require an experienced Host/Maitre D/ Reception staff to join our dedicated team on a full time basis (38+ hours per week).
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Setting and arranging tables
- Greeting guests and presenting them with menus and beverage lists
- Taking water orders and relaying the customer to their dedicated waiter
- Assisting serving food and beverages
- Cloakroom Coordination
- Managing phone and email reservations
- Assisting clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to kitchen
- Assisting removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses
- Collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines
Requirements of the role:
- Ability to work full time, at least 38 hours per week
- A minimum of 2 years experience working with reservations / FOH in a high-end, high volume, a la carte restaurant
- To be dedicated to providing our clients with an excellent dining experience
- Have great personal appearance, exceptional attention to detail
- Experience with Sevenrooms reservation software
- Clear communicator on both phone & email
