GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Full-Time Warehouse Storeperson (preparation for a warehouse supervisor):
- Immediate start (Sunshine West)
- Multiple roles - responsibilities will likely include but are not limited to:
Picking and packing
- Fast Picking & Packing of Auto Parts & Accessories from 50gm up to 25kg
Handling Auto Parts & Accessories from 50gm up to 25kg
Picking up & Packing daily orders.
Driving a forklift
- Using an electric forklift to handle heavy stock and pallets
- A license is a requirement (it is an advantage to have it | if you don't hold a license, you should be willing to get one. We can help with the course.)
Goods handling, receiving experience
- Handling Auto Parts & Accessories from 50gm up to 25kg.
RF scanner and PC operation
- Basic PDA (Mobile devices) and PC knowledge
- Basic general software and hardware knowledge
- MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) | Google Doc (excel spreadsheet)
- Basic administration and email communication
- Inventory allocation, stock take, restocking
General Warehouse duties
- anything that needs to be done to ensure a smooth run of the warehouse
Leadership
- Working independently and also as a team member
- To be a role model to others
- To be a connection point between the Operation manager and team members
- Planning and organising everyday routines

CHARACTERISTICS OF EMPLOYMENT
If you are motivated and you can see yourself as a perfect candidate, those are the conditions:
- Flexibility and availability to work 40 hours per week (full-time + paid overtime)
- Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (8 shifts, 1h lunch | no weekends, no late afternoons or nights, no public holidays)
- previous experience in a similar role is an advantage (but we prefer an attitude over skills! We know that every job and environment differ, so you will get full training and all support)
- having a forklift licence (if you don't hold it, we can help you to get it)

Other more detailed information:
The Melbourne warehouse is the second branch of the company. Located in Sunshine West (3020 / Endeavour Way). The team is small—five people—and it's a kind of family environment, but it grows in responsibilities and dispatched parcels. The hours are Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM (8h shifts, 38+2h a week). There are no weekend shifts and no night shifts!
The advertised position is to fill the gap between team members and the operation manager, replacing a previous supervisor who was promoted.
- Is this job suitable for students? Probably not. It's a long-term position that requires full-time availability, long-term goals, and dedication.
- Is this job suitable for women? It can be - but (!) - the job requires lifting some heavy items (up to 25kg).
The salary in the first year of employment would be between $55,000 and $60,000 (gross, per annum), with a clear promotion path.
