Functions & Events Sales Coordinator

We're seeking a talented Sales and Events Manager to join us at WACA Ground and take our function and Events Sales programs to new heights!
About the role
- Coordinate function delivery with client (obtaining client specs and budget, liaising with client on catering, setup and audio-visual requirements).
- Manage phone and email enquiries to respond to bookings with availability and prices, ensuring enquiries are dealt with promptly and accurately.
- Ensure a high level of exposure for the WACA Ground through direct sales solicitation via telephone, contracts and written communications.
- Seek ways to maximise revenues and profits by cross selling and upselling all facilities offerings and services.
- Entertain and conduct venue inspections for clients whenever required.
- Produce relevant operational documents (event order confirmations, floor plan, parking list, menus).
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with the relevant representatives from competitor hotels and other organisations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with the existing clientele and constantly explore new business opportunities.
- Utilise all electronic tools available to maintain and/or generate reports, revenue, statistics, and records.
Who we are looking for
- Minimum 1 years’ proven experience in hospitality and Events Sales
- Minimum 1 year’s administrative experience
- The ability to develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Experienced in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to generate and offer alternative solutions
- Professional communication, written and verbal skills
- A passion for functions and events
