We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fund Writer Manager to join our team and help us secure the funding necessary to continue our mission.
Job Summary:
As the Fund Writer Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing the fundraising strategy for GWPF. This includes writing compelling grant proposals, donor communications, and reports to secure funding from government agencies, private foundations, corporations, and individual donors. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization by identifying new funding opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing funders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet the financial needs of the organization.
- Write, edit, and submit grant proposals, funding applications, and donor reports in a timely manner.
- Research and identify new funding opportunities from government agencies, private foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
- Build and maintain relationships with funders, ensuring regular communication and engagement.
- Work closely with the program team to understand funding needs and priorities, and to gather necessary information for proposals and reports.
- Track and report on the status of grant applications and funding received.
- Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and regulations.
- Develop and manage the fundraising budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising for non-profit organizations, preferably in the area of women’s empowerment or social justice.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling, and persuasive content.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices and grant compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising software.
