Fundraising Specialist

Fantastic opportunity for a relationship Fundraiser to build community engagement and grow Fundraising support to impact an organisation supporting the community across some of life's most difficult and transitional times. 

Part time role – 3 days a week; hours can be worked across 3, 4 or 5 days.

The Fundraising Specialist will build and nurture a range of relationships across the community to grow Fundraising support that impacts the community across some of life's most difficult and transitional times. 

This is an opportunity for an ambitious, passionate and community focused Fundraiser to raise funds through individual donors, grassroots events, corporate partnerships, and strategic community engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop enriching relationships with members of the community to identify their reasons for engagement and to develop their financial support across relevant programs
  • Create and implement new strategic initiatives to increase Fundraising income through a range of activities that include stewardship of individual donors, community fundraising, events, corporate partnerships, campaigns, and grants
  • Develop material for campaigns and work closely with the marketing team to develop donor engagement material
  • Project manage the full cycle of the donor journey from prospecting, through to gaining fundraising commitment and project delivery
  • Make data-driven decisions, and create accurate and comprehensive records for each individual through out their donor journey
  • Implement and project manage fundraising events, and activities  from conception through execution and post-event reporting
  • Provide a high-touch and compassionate commitment to every donor throughout the development of their engagement and through their giving journey
Skills and Experience
  • Success in achieving financial results through strengths in relationship building, and stakeholder management
  • The ability to build and nurture a donor pipeline and identify new opportunities across multiple fundraising channels
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to report on progress and outcomes
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels in a collaborative and compassionate manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in order to effectively communicate to a wide range of target audiences
  • Digital marketing skills desired, but not essential
  • A background in driving new community focused fundraising opportunities and developing new initiatives for donor engagement
  • A genuine interest to make a significant impact across community programs that support members of the community across mental health, community connection, and compassionate end of life support.
