$40.32 per hour (includes 25% Casual Loading) plus 11% super

The role

Latrobe Regional Gallery (LRG) presents an exciting program of contemporary art for our region and visitors to enjoy and is one of the largest public galleries in eastern Victoria.

As the Gallery Technician you will provide operational support across a range of functions including art handling, collection management, audio visual production and general maintenance.

You will need:

• Understanding of contemporary exhibition presentation.
• Knowledge of art handling and conservation methods and practices, or ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
• Knowledge or experience with audio visual installation, lighting and video projection or ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
• Practical skills in general carpentry, painting, plastering and minor repairs, or a general aptitude to acquire these skills with appropriate training.
• White card induction and working safely at heights or ability to acquire this training upon appointment.

Successful applicants are required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check, Working with Children's Check and pre-employment medical and hearing check.
