AddressThe award-winning Walkers Arms Hotelis looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in the full-time position ofGaming Manager.
The successful applicant will be responsible to lead the gaming team in all aspects of gaming operations. This is a hands-on role; therefore we are seeking someone with an energetic personality who leads by example.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Managing the current team of dedicated gaming staff to ensure high service standards and expectations are met
- Ensuring gaming room presentation is always of the highest standard
- Driving membership of the hotel’s Rewards program
- Planning and hosting members activities for our valued Rewards members
- Actively promoting the venues promotional schedule
- Attending to patrons’ enquiries throughout the venue and keep gaming room guests informed of special events and promotions, often using a microphone
- Maintaining gaming compliance in line with gaming legislation and codes of practice, including regular reporting requirements
About you:
- Passionate about the hospitality industry with a particular focus on gaming
- Demonstrated abilities working in a similar role within the hospitality sector
- Natural ability to build rapport with a diverse range of clientele
- Completed Basic Gaming Training and have up to date Advanced Gaming Training (as recognised by the IGC)
- Completed nationally accredited Responsible Service of Alcohol training
- Experience with the Maxetag loyalty system is advantageous
- Extensive working knowledge of South Australian gaming legislation, codes of practice and how to apply them in the workplace
- Be able to work over a 7-day roster including weekends and public holidays
