Moree Plains Shire Council is seeking a highly motivated Urban Ganger to join Council's Infrastructure team.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Urban Ganger will be required to ensure safe operation of all plant and equipment associated with the construction and maintenance of the Parks and Open Spaces within the Moree Plains Shire Council. The role also includes the following:
- To effectively and efficiently organise, control and supervise a team of field staff and/or contractors in the day-to-day operations of specified Urban works and services.
- To ensure such works and services undertaken are completed on time and within budget, and in accordance with Council’s and/or Client’s specifications, policies and procedures, industry standards and best practice, and community expectations.
ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
- A Certificate IV in Civil Construction is an essential requirement, however, applicants who do not hold this qualification may be considered in some instances if willing to commit to enrolling in the qualification during the 3-month probationary period.
- You will have relevant experience in formation and laying of concrete and other relative Urban works including general labouring duties.
- Current NSW Class C Driver Licence
- You will hold a WHS General Construction Induction Card, a Traffic Controller Certificate - Traffic Controller (TCR) and Implement Traffic Control Plans (IMP).
- Experience in preparing and setting out worksites, and ensuring all safety and environmental measures are in place and operational.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and complying with engineering plans, drawings and project specifications.
- Ability to organise, manage and supervise the activities of maintenance and construction crews to deliver quality outcomes within set time frames.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
