Our client is seeking a motivated, experienced employee to join their operation. An established family business which grows canola, barley and wheat and run merino sheep and angus cattle, the farms are located 70km east of Albany in the South Stirling/Green Range area. It is situated close to the coast, the Stirling Range national park and have a local sporting club and friendly community. The business is close to local primary schools and there are buses to high schools in Albany and Mt Barker.
The farm runs modern machinery and have a near new, well-equipped workshop with overhead electric crane, vehicle hoist, drive over pit and lunchroom.
About the role:
This role is centred around the cropping enterprise and your duties would include:
- Machinery operation for seeding, spraying and harvest
- Pre-emptive maintenance and repair of farm equipment and fabrication
- Livestock duties under supervision
- Previous broadacre experience
- Previous livestock experience
- This position would suit a candidate with a trade, or mechanical/fabrication background.
- HR, HC, or MC license
- Experience with earthmoving is desirable.
- You will be highly capable self starter with a positive attitude and contributing to great team spirit
- Pay rate negotiable based on skills and experience
- Monday to Friday 9 hours a day, with some weekend work, additional hours required during peak periods
- Accommodation is available on farm, utilities included
- Work vehicle will be provided.
