Your new role:
Reporting to the Leading hand and based at our Cairns branch, we are looking for a General Hand who is a good team player with a customer centric attitude to join our team and support branch hire activities in our busy hire yard.
- 3+ years' experience in maintenance and repair of building structures.
- Confident operation of large forklifts to load / unload materials and buildings
- Prepare, clean and pack buildings to hire standards
- Processing paperwork of the installation & return of hire assets via the operations construction process
- Stocktakes of assets as required
- Ensure all customer requests for service are handled promptly and in a professional manner
- Prepare hire buildings for transit
- Unpack and test run/clean ancillaries when buildings are returned from hire
- Run safety reports
What you will bring to the role:
- Current forklift licence, driver's licence, and working at heights certificate.
- Relevant trade qualification (highly desirable)
- Comfortable using Computer and iPad / tablet
- Excellent customer focus with a professional phone manner and presentation
- Strong communication skills with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Great initiative to make processes better, solid team player and ability to work autonomously.
