Lead Educator

Happy Hubbub is a long day care service with co-working facilities for parents, located in the heart of Preston. Hubbub’s home-like environments, in both the childcare and co-working spaces, are designed to cater to families in the local community and beyond, fostering a strong sense of belonging for both children and adults. We are an inclusive, welcoming and safe space where all family types are welcome. 

Our boutique long day care service is licensed for 34 places across two classrooms: the Djirri-Djirri room is the babies and toddlers room (0<3), and the Bunjil room is the 3- to 5-year-old room, with integrated funded kindergarten program. 

We are seeking an experienced Diploma-qualified early childhood educator to join our diverse and dedicated team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Educational Leader to facilitate the implementation of a high-quality educational program in the Djirri-Djirri room. 

This exciting role is offered as a full-time position, however part-time applications will be considered. 

The role entails:

• Implementation of an engaging child-centred play based and developmentally appropriate learning program for children which incorporates the individual goals of each child. This will include clear learning cycles demonstrated through documentation, assessment, implementation and evaluation.
• Leading a team of educators.
• Working closely with the Educational Leader and the whole team to continually develop and review the service's QIP.
• Connecting with families through daily communications and building trusting relationships.

 The ideal candidate will possess:

• A sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and be able to independently document and plan for individual children’s learning within the group.
• Exceptional knowledge and comprehension of National Quality Standards and National Regulations 2011
• Strong team management and leadership skills including excellent communicational skills.
• Clear organisational and time management skills

 Minimum requirements:

• Diploma of Education (Early Childhood) or equivalent approved/recognised qualification
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma Management, Anaphylaxis Management
• Fully Covid19 vaccinated
