An excellent opportunity exists to kick start your new career in Local Government through a General Hand position in Parks and Reserves.
This entry level position provides an opportunity for on the job training to develop the skills, knowledge and expertise required to operate a range of small plant and machinery whilst contributing to the maintenance of the Shire's parks, reserves and streetscapes. This position could lead to opportunities for further training and career development within areas such as horticulture, plant operation and reticulation.
About the Role
This position provides safe and efficient gardening, mowing and park maintenance services within the Shire of Esperance. The successful applicant will undertake general labouring duties as well as operate various specialised plant including mower, whipper snipper, leaf blower, chainsaw and edger.
This position is 85 hours over a nine day fortnight. There are multiple positions available as part of this recruitment.
About You
To be successful and thrive in this role, you will have:
- Experience or willingness to learn the operation of plant and equipment such as mowers, whipper snippers, edger and chainsaw.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team

Salary: $70,992.71 per annum including overtime, plus superannuation
