Refuel Australia is a respected distributor of quality Ampol fuels and lubricants throughout the Pilbara, Midwest, Gascoyne and Murchison areas of Western Australia and the Northern Territory from Darwin to Alice Springs.
The company has been in the fuel distribution industry for over 20 years running a modern fleet of trucks and tankers, a network of unmanned sites, plus three roadhouses and employing over 120 people.
We are currently offering an opportunity for a General Handyperson-Maintenance Person to join our team, based at our Geraldton depot.
About the role:
The role involves general building, facilities and grounds maintenance, managing a regular schedule as well as responding to issues on demand. The position calls for a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and safety focus and pride in their work.
We are seeking a person who would enjoy travelling extensively and often throughout Refuel Australia’s locations and facilities in WA.
The position:
The General Handyperson-Maintenance Person undertakes planned, preventative and break-down repairs and maintenance under the direction and guidance of the Maintenance Manager.
• Visit company sites to perform handyperson-Maintenance Person works or repairs and conduct routine inspections and audits of premises and equipment and undertake yard and equipment clean-up.
• Perform inventory on parts and supplies and keep repair tools and supplies clean and organized.
• Undertake all work in line with industry and company compliance and safety standards.
Required experience and skills:
• Proven maintenance experience or a trade certificate or other relevant building or trade qualifications or experience.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to take apart equipment or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Willingness to undertake yard work and cleaning at unmanned sites.
• Strong problem solving abilities.
• Self-motivated, resilient and resourceful personality and capable of working autonomously.
• Good communication skills and a courteous and professional attitude.
• Sound computer skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively and often throughout the regions serviced by Refuel Australia
• Demonstrated commitment to upholding company health and safety policies and procedures to the highest standard.
Relevant qualifications:
• Relevant experience and or trade or trade assistant qualification
• Current drivers licence
• National Police Clearance
