Trades Assistant.
Work Location: Cloudbreak mine site
- Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples
Roster: 14D14R - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton or Karratha.
The Trades Assistant role reports directly to the OPF Maintenance Services Supervisor and will be responsible for assisting with assisting trades with maintenance of assets and equipment to safely deliver world class availability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Telehandler and flatbed truck operations (LF ticket preferable but not essential – we can give them a ticket on site)
- Gathering of parts and tooling
- Setting up of job fronts
- Inspection of plant and equipment
- Assisting trades with maintenance of assets including crushers, scrubbers, pumps, screens
- Align to the Fortescue values
Qualifications and Experience
- Ability to work with others to achieve objectives.
- Current C class drivers licence essential
- Working at heights ticket – preferable but not essential – training can be done on site
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Self motivated.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
