Our Ringwood HQ is looking for an experienced and reliable Maintenance Technician/welder who brings a flexible, hardworking and self-motivated attitude to work each day. This role will be one that is almost constantly evolving with tasks ranging from routine equipment maintenance, basic mobile equipment maintenance, general yard repairs and maintenance, removing and installing new and refurbished equipment and fine tuning/adjusting processing equipment to run optimally.
About the Role:
- Full time - 7:00am to 5:00pm (Mon - Fri)
- Salary negotiable for right applicant.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring plant and equipment is maintained to the highest standard adhering to a regular schedule.
- Diagnose, adjust, repair and/or replace worn or faulty equipment.
- Repair and reweld bins, containers or stillages as needed.
- Some touch up paint work as required.
- Basic Fabrication and modification of machine componentry and bins.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and prioritise workloads.
- Source parts and technical information required to undertake maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in organising and carrying out all on site projects including the installation of new equipment and building improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
- A current Australian Drivers Licence and a valid Forklift Licence
- Understanding heavy machinery and fixed plant maintenance with basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
- Must be competent in Mig & Arc welding, air arc and oxy cutting.
- Relevant Trade Qualifications.
- Literal thinker capable of analysing and troubleshooting problems.
- Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised to prioritise workloads.
- Thirst for knowledge and desire to learn.
- Eye for detail and quality
