STA Traffic Management Solutions (STA) is highly regarded within the Traffic Management sector, supplying traffic management solutions throughout Victoria to a broad range of clients. STA is part of the ASX listed company the AVADA Group an established traffic management operator with companies throughout Australia and New Zealand.

 The Opportunity

Reporting to the Group Manager - Operations, we have an incredible opportunity for a General Manager to provide senior leadership for the STA business. The GM will work closely with our operational team, to drive excellence and business efficiencies to a geographically dispersed team and client base.

 Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's vision and objectives, ensuring sustainable growth.
• Oversee daily operations across all the business to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Lead and motivate a diverse team to achieve excellence in operational performance, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage financial performance by developing and monitoring budgets, setting financial goals, and implementing strategies to increase profitability.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and occupational health and safety guidelines.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to enhance business opportunities and partnerships.

About You

• You are a strategic operations leader, with demonstrated success in the senior leadership of geographically dispersed operations teams.
• Depth of operations experience in a similar / related industry is preferred – Traffic Control/ Construction.
• You are comfortable flexing between strategic contribution and operational delivery – this is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring comfort in working at pace.
• Excellent relationship-building skills, with a capacity to engage with a wide-range of stakeholders.
• Experience in delivering budget goals and managing profit and loss.

 Qualifications

• Relevant Tertiary Education.
• Victorian Traffic Control Tickets - Level 1-3 Traffic Controller and Traffic Management Implementer (or must be willing to obtain within 6 months of employment).
• White Card (or willing to obtain).
• Must have a current Driver's License.
