General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)

Dingo Concrete Services is the premier provider of concrete solutions in Tom Price, Western Australia & the wider Pilbara regions . Apart of the Tasmea Group of subsidiary businesses, Dingo’s offers expert concrete services alongside materials cartage, civil contracting, and machine hire services. 
 

The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Tasmea Executive Directors, the General Manager is responsible for overseeing all facets of the business including sales, batching, delivery, safety, workforce management, inventory management, maintenance of fixed assets and business strategy.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced, action-oriented manager who is looking to take the next step in their career but is not afraid of rolling up their sleeves to get the job done. Success in this role requires a positive outlook, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a desire to grow with the business.

This role is located in Tom Price, WA, with a relocation allowance provided for the right candidate. 

Successful applicant must have: 

• MC Class heavy vehicle licence valid in Western Australia
• Construction White Card
• Experience with concrete production, including batching, delivery and yard management is essential to allow the GM to effectively lead the team and fill in gaps to keep the operation running efficiently.
• Experience with loaders is essential and experience with screening equipment will be highly regarded.
• Experience driving heavy vehicles including concrete agitators and road trains.
• Experience in estimating and quoting in a cement and aggregates business
• Demonstrated leadership ability 
• Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word
• Exceptional leadership and management skills including the ability to inspire others.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong team orientation and a bias to action.
• Open and honest communications with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Ability to devise and implement innovative work practices aimed at improving productivity.
• High level communication and influencing skills necessary to deal effectively with clients and Directors. 

Key Reporting Relationships:

• The General Manager will report to the board of directors.
• The GM must liaise with the Investor Representative, finance team, senior leadership of other Tom Price businesses, and all employees.
• The GM must develop strong relationships within the Tasmea Group, including with other General Managers and CEO’s, and Corporate Services (including finance, legal, recruitment and HR).
