Our client is a leading OEM in the resources space. They are now seeking a Sales General Manager - (Capital Equipment) to join their team based north of the river. The company is offering a negotiable salary package and career progression.
- Develop and manage sound sales strategy for each region and product group in conjunction with key internal stakeholders
- Responsible and take accountability for achieving Capital Equipment sales targets in accordance with company budgets.
- Actively identify and manage risk in projects being tendered, either technical or commercial and drive mitigation strategies.
- Manage, lead, motivate, mentor, and support a team of internal and external Sales, Business Development and Marketing staff.
- Maintain CRM records with the team to ensure accuracy.
- Participate in presentations, exhibitions and functions as required.
- Domestic and international travel as required.
- Oversee the preparation of budget estimates and proposals within the Sales team.
- 6+ years’ experience in a similar role involving engineered Capital Equipment.
- Experienced managing and getting the best out of sales teams.
- Sound reporting, budgeting, and planning skills.
- Experienced in negotiating commercial and contractual t&c's.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to remain professional in all situations.
- Strong Occupational Health & Safety awareness.
- Direct selling to the mining and minerals processing industries, including EPCMs.
