About the role:
You will play a pivotal role in harnessing the power of data to drive business value and innovation. You will help guide our team of Data Scientists, Analysts, and Reporting Specialists to uncover actionable insights and develop advanced analytics solutions.
You will be a key supporter in shaping the data strategy under the collaborative guidance of the Technology Executive Director and Digital Executive Director.
In this role, you’ll be:
- Driving the advancement and application of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and predictive modelling techniques for developing innovative solutions.
- Supporting and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Reporting Specialists; that will drive policy, governance, and quality across enterprise data repositories.
- Supervising the management of data and technology requirements, encompassing architecture, roadmap, and investments.
- Cultivating strong relationships with domain-specific vendors and suppliers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data to solve business problems and drive strategic initiatives.
Ideally, you’ll bring to the role:
- Proven experience in providing architectural guidance and support, particularly in defining target states and facilitating system/platform selection at Senior Management level.
- Ability to balance priorities effectively between data infrastructure and data-driven digital innovation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster alignment among diverse stakeholders through various communication channels.
- Experience designing and successfully implementing new strategies that deliver cost savings, service improvement and high team performance.
