We are currently offering a great opportunity to join our Group People, Safety & Culture team in this HR General Manager role responsible for leading HR operations strategies that promote a positive workplace culture, enhance employee engagement, and continue to drive organisational success on a 12-month contract.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Group CEO and CPO, you will provide expert guidance and support to our HR operations team on all HR-related matters. This role is responsible for fostering strong relationships, understanding business needs and ensuring alignment between HR strategies and organisational goals, playing a critical role in driving business success through effective HR leadership and support. More specifically, you will:
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to understand their strategic priorities and challenges
- Guide and support our HR Business Partners and Group Shared Serviced Manager to deliver
contemporary, responsive, and high-quality strategies and services that support the group’s objectives whilst ensuring an environment and culture where non-financial and financial objectives can be met - Identify opportunities to improve and enhance operations, engagement and efficiencies
- Offer advice, guidance and recommendations that comply with NEX Building Groups policies, procedures and legal requirements
- Develop, implement, and drive HR strategies, policies and initiatives that align with industry trends and regulatory changes and support the Groups’ overall objectives and success
- Analyse key people related metrics and trends to support informed decision making
- Develop comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate key findings, trends and recommendations to senior leaders and HR Business Partners to drive strategic alignment and effective change
- Provide guidance and advice on complex employee relations matters including investigations, performance improvement processes, disciplinary actions and grievances.
About you
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values. In addition, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a senior HR leadership role
- Experience managing Human Resources in a diverse and complex organisation and managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Impact as a leader and the ability to influence
- Tertiary qualification in HR or equivalent discipline
- Strong IR and ER experience
- Experience in business partnering with senior stakeholders
- A good balance between leading and executing (strategic and hands on)
- Interest in the residential building and construction industry
- Strong relationship building skills
