SkyCity Adelaide is currently looking for a highly experienced and collaborative individual to play a strategic role in the financial management and leadership of our organisation in the role of General Manager Finance.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer Australia, this role will oversee the finance function and department at SkyCity Adelaide, as well as business units with high levels of financial management activity in their day-to-day operations. Our General Manager Finance is a key member of SkyCity Adelaide's General Management team and is responsible for the businesses long-term strategic planning and performance, as well as ensuring optimised shareholder value and return. Leading the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, this role will provide expert advice and assistance to our COO - Australia and General Managers on financial performance and opportunities for optimisation, whilst ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives. Our General Manager Finance will also manage financial risk through effective assessment, mitigation strategies and controls, and will drive operational efficiency and process improvements across the finance functions, whilst fostering a culture of collaboration within our high-performing finance team. This position also has a significant focus and responsibility of ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, as well as ensuring all financial reports and analysis are timely and accurately provided to relevant stakeholders throughout SkyCity Adelaide and the SkyCity Entertainment Group as required.
About you
The successful candidate will have proven leadership experience within a finance management role and possess a deep understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations, with a track record of success in developing and implementing strategies and operational plans to help drive business performance and optimisation. Whilst leading high performing teams, this role also requires a strategic thinker who is a highly collaborative and a skilled influencer with the ability to independently take initiative and drive outcomes, whilst demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Operating with the highest level of integrity and operational excellence always, the successful candidate will have proven ability in working closely with C-suite, peer executives and group executives, and will have an excellent ability to prioritise work, manage high volumes of work to a high standard, and build excellent relationships with key stakeholders. Relevant tertiary qualifications are required, supported by CPA or ACA qualifications.
