As the General Manager Infrastructure Delivery, you will report directly to the Executive General Manager and actively participate as a member of the Delivery & Technical Solutions management team.


You will strategically lead and drive Powerlink’s Infrastructure Program, to ensure safe, cost effective and timely delivery, while also being responsive to the transmission infrastructure needs of customers and community.


⦁    Provide leadership of the group, ensuring that it fulfils its contribution to organisational priorities and delivers on its service obligations in an increasingly complex, changing and resource constrained environment. ⦁    Oversee Powerlink’s program of large scale Infrastructure Delivery projects that require a high level of technical and commercial knowledge.  ⦁    Develop and deliver operational plans, to ensure outcomes are achieved in a safe and fit for purpose approach. ⦁    Drive and role-model key leadership behaviours ensuring consistent application across the function, to build a high-performance culture through effective employee engagement and capacity building.
 

The community you will join

Based in Virginia, you’ll join our Delivery & Technical Solutions Group that delivers critical infrastructure and transmission services, connecting Queenslanders to a world-class energy future. Our transmission network extends 1,700km from north of Cairns to the New South Wales border, and comprises 15,345 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and 147 substations.
 

Your expertise

⦁    Degree level qualifications in a related technical discipline to the electrical power industry ⦁    Or a lesser qualification if coupled with extensive project management experience in the relevant field ⦁    Tertiary qualifications in business management (MBA or equivalent) and/or project management is desirable. ⦁    Experience in management and leadership across disciplines and directing multiple, diverse teams in support of infrastructure projects. ⦁    Proven ability to translate business strategy into operational plans and deliver across a major business function in a complex organisation. 
 

With strong interpersonal, commercial acumen and negotiation skills, you’re known for your collaborative style with an ability to liaise and influence outcomes at all levels of the organisation.
 

You’ll demonstrate leader-level expertise in your field, with proven experience delivering strategic management and leadership across company functions.
