The opportunity:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Operations in this newly created role, the General ManagerIntegrated Care Services and Partnerships is responsible for the strategic planning, creative leadership, and management of Virtual Hospital Services, Out of Hospital Services, Community Health Services, and the Patient Flow Unit.

With a focus on innovation, technology, and partnership development, you will collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to conceptualise, prioritise, and establish innovative models of care that are outside the traditional hospital setting. You will work closely with our hospital General Managers to establish health care service solutions and partner successfully with external agencies such as private hospitals, Primary Health Networks, and other local GP practices and community services providers.

Leading our District Networks and Streams with purpose and a clearly articulated vision, you will ensure our services align with and achieve strategic and operational goals across the district, while remaining responsive to the ever-evolving healthcare landscape. Instrumental in promoting strong collaboration amongst a wide range of healthcare professionals, you’ll facilitate efficient resource allocation and implement contemporary, innovative solutions developed to meet the needs of our diverse local communities.

As an inspiring and transformational leader, you model by example, able to generate passion, enthusiasm, and commitment from teams and other stakeholders to lead them to achieve a unified vision, strategic objectives, and goals, reflected in key performance indicators.

Along with your executive-level management experience of health services, you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and create an effective and efficient team able to deliver strategic objectives with your guidance and leadership.

Your ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders is key, as you’ll draw upon your extensive experience in consulting, negotiating, and collaborating, including garnering community engagement.
 

  • Tertiary qualifications with a health-related focus and/or relevant equivalent extensive senior management experience in line with the position.
  • Experience in executive-level management of health services with a significant background in health service administration including development and change management at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated effective consulting, negotiating and collaborative skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including community.
  • Proven understanding of financial management, workforce, clinical governance principles and Australian Health Care systems and regulations.
  • Demonstrated capability and competence in a Continuous Quality Improvement approach to service delivery, initiating and managing change and negotiating with and gaining support from key stakeholders across the organisation in implementing changes to service delivery.
  • Transformational leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to create enthusiasm and commitment to goals and build a shared sense of direction.
  • Demonstrated high-level written communication skills, in a range of styles and formats, with the capacity to produce comprehensive reports, plans and briefings.


Where you'll be working:
The location for this position is negotiable across a range of metropolitan, rural, and regional locations.

The role will involve some travel across our stunning district, with access to a fleet vehicle for work-related travel.
