SalaryFast growing European owned International Freight Forwarder with 8 offices Globally is seeking a dedicated General Manager to lead Australian Operations and Sales @ Milperra, NSW HQ, or Melbourne / Brisbane if more convenient for the right Candidate.
About the role:
- Leadership and Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve organizational objectives.
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the Australia team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen our sales infrastructure and cultivate a high-performing sales team to bolster the growth of our current business.
- Drive growth by focusing on trade lanes between Australia and other regions of Company presence - Italy, Germany, Malaysia, South Korea, China, Brazil + full autonomy to decide other markets that could be developed.
2. Operational Management:
- Oversee all operational functions, guaranteeing the delivery of efficient and effective services to our clients.
- Implement best practices to streamline operational procedures and increase productivity
3. Financial Management:
- Assume responsibility for the financial performance of operations in Australia, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Pinpoint avenues for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
4. Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key clients, comprehensively understanding their requirements and ensuring the provision of exceptional service.
- Identify prospects for new business development and the expansion of service offerings.
5. Team Building and Development:
- Recruit, train, and nurture a top-tier team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Provide mentorship and support to team members to facilitate their professional growth and advancement.
6. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Implement robust risk management protocols to mitigate operational and financial risks effectively.
