An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly competent, hands on General Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of RSL on Bell. The Club offers facilities such as Bar, Restaurant, Gaming and Functions.

The club has approximately 600 members with a great opportunity to grow this area of the business as the RSL enjoys a positive profile.
An opportunity exists to work within the RSL and support our objectives has become available for a highly competent, motivated and hands-on General Manager. You will lead the day-to-day operation of this fantastic club and possess the appropriate experience gathered from previous management roles within the hospitality and gaming industry.
The Candidate
You will drive front house operations, maintaining and improving the overall customer and employee experience across this multi-faceted venue.
Lead, motivate and mentor direct reports and wider team of staff
Implement appropriate policy and procedural changes to improve and grow the business
Forecast and report on profit and loss across multiple revenue streams – beverage, bar, functions/events and gaming
Collaborate with key team members to develop special programs and events
Working with leased kitchen to build upon food and beverage revenue opportunities
Foster positive relationships with local community and social clubs
Oversee maintenance projects and new concept developments
With a strong community presence, this role requires a commitment to deliver the Vision, Mission, Values and Objectives of the club, by providing the highest service standards to our members, guests and the veteran community.
We are seeking a dynamic, engaging and suitably experienced General Manager to drive and build the business with a focus on positioning the club to achieve commercial growth, and broaden our appeal to a larger cross section of the community.
Reporting to the Board, the General Manager will possess:
- An appreciation of the RSL brand and what is stands for
- The ability to consistently achieve outstanding revenue and profit results
Prerequisites:
- Key leadership roles within the Hospitality industry (Minimum 5 years)
- Hold a current Victorian Gaming Licence
- Hold a current Victorian RSA Certificate
- Have completed current Victorian RSG Training Modules 1 and 2
- Be able to be a nominee of both the Liquor Licence and the Gaming Venue Operators Licence
- Current Drivers Licence
