The Mobility SolutionsGeneral Manager is accountable for planning and executing the business unit's strategic initiatives and ensuring sales targets and KPI’s are meet/exceeded.
This role has been created through merging Wavelink’s Mobility Distribution Business Unit with Connected Health powered by Wavelink, who is a provider of healthcare communications solutions to Hospitals and Aged Care centers across Australia. Our business represents leading hardware and software vendors in the Mobility and Healthcare technology space, including Spectralink, Vocera, Alcatel Lucent, Olinqua and Soti.
This is a senior leadership role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney and will require occasional travel across Australia.
About the role
The General Manager, Mobility Solutions, will lead team members based in Australia ensuring key metrics are met and a high level of support is provided to our partners, customers and strategic objectives are executed. This role will utilize your prior knowledge and expertise in Mobility devices and applications. The initial focus will be on healthcare (which includes aged care) which enables healthcare workers to carry out their duties more safely, securely, and effectively.
The General ManagerMobility Solutions is an end-to-end GM role responsible for a team which includes enterprise sales, channel management, marketing, presales, support and product marketing.
Your key success metric will be to ensure the teams’ annual sales targets are met.
Other responsibilities include
- Develop and execute the Mobility strategy nationally
- Make key decisions and set the direction for the team in the various aspects of the business including Sales, Pre-Sales, Channel, Enablement, Support, Marketing and Product in line with the business unit strategy
- Ensure team internal targets and key objectives are met including marketing, sales, channel, product and technical
- Ensure Vendor key metrics and requirements are met each quarter
- Maintain and develop engagement with customer stakeholders, including C-Suite executives, IT, both end customers (especially in healthcare) and channel partners
- Collaborate with Reseller partners on account development, RFP responses, and other strategic initiatives
- Share monthly business unit updates and reporting with internal leaders
- Participate as a member of the Wavelink Senior Leadership team
About you
- Experience in leading Mobility teams to sell Mobility technology enabled solutions
- Successfully managed sales, channel management, presales, marketing, and services delivery teams
- Track record of successfully growing sales and exceeding targets (directly and indirectly) and KPI’s
- Strong mobility technical knowledge with the ability to understand partners requirements
- Superior negotiation and multi-tasking skills, ability to lead, review and execute multiple strategic projects with sharp attention to detail
- Results oriented with strong motivation to take ownership of the business unit
- The ability to engender respect and trust with internal and external stakeholders
- Highly developed presentation skills, demonstrating creativity and innovation when presenting ideas and working through partner strategies.
