ABOUT THE ROLEThe Digital Content Lead - Men’s Football & Competitions plays a pivotal part in planning, producing and publishing content & interactive experiences for digital channels of Football Australia brands, with a primary focus on Subway Socceroos, Men’s Youth National Teams, Australia Cup, National Premier Leagues, Futsalroos and Commbank Pararoos. The role also contributes and supports content planning and delivery of content for Football Australia, PlayFootball and other youth competitions.Please note that this role is fixed term until 30 June 2025.Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Build content plans for 2024 and 2025 for the Subway Socceroos and Australia Cup
  • Manage rosters, content schedules and be a key contributor to working groups in the development and delivery of the fan experience across content and digital
  • Working with the GM, develop a digital fan engagement and social media strategy that fits within the values and expected outcomes of the Subway Socceroos and Australia Cup
  • Manage a team of full time and freelance social media & digital producers to maximise output of the content strategy
  • Plan the social media production schedule in line with the media and communications & content strategy
  • Provide guidance for social media accounts, ensuring compelling, interesting and relevant insights are shared to inform content production decisions
  • Liaise with the Football Australia team to plan and execute content and digital marketing calendars effectively and on time
  • Attend key match days to produce social coverage and digital fan engagement
  • Optimise and adapt to the changing landscape of social/digital media, ensuring brands are performing the best as possible
  • Work with marketing/brand managers to optimise Digital Content and outputs
  • Assure all digital touchpoints (Football network, social channels, web CMS and email) are updated with the latest and most relevant content and non-editorial content such as promo items
.ABOUT YOUExperience, Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in social media and an eye for strong, compelling creative
  • Experience with or understanding of key social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, Reddit, Twitch & YouTube
  • Experience with Adobe suit, especially Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Knowledge of football landscape and in particular within Australia
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadline while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Qualification or Degree in marketing, communication, media or sports management
  • 5+ years of experience in content, social media and management of a small team
Additional Requirements:
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Working with children check (paid/employee) or state-based equivalent
  • International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable)
  • Out of hours and weekend work as required
