The Deep Blue Hotel & Hot Springs, a 4.5-star landmark property, is ideally located at the foreshore in the picturesque coastal city of Warrnambool . The resort comprises of a hotel offering 81 well-appointed rooms, including penthouse suites, and an array of attractions such as the award-winning outdoor Hot Springs Sanctuary, Indoor Bathhouse & Day Spa, Salt Therapy Room,  Indoor heated swimming pool, Sauna  and Tides Café & Bar, providing guests with the ultimate hospitality and wellness experiences. 

 About the Role:

We're looking for a General Manager who is an inspirational leader with a passion for the industry and a desire to maximise the resort's potential. Reporting direct to the business owner, you'll lead the management team, ensuring operational efficiency, growth, and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational growth and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Establish and maintain high operational standards in line with international best practices.
• Lead and motivate the management team to ensure optimum operational efficiency.
• Oversee budgeting, financial management, and capital allocation.
• Foster a positive work environment, promoting career development and employee morale.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Enhance the hotel's reputation and goodwill through collaboration with Marketing manager on effective marketing and public relations strategies.

Staff Training and Development:

• Conduct ongoing training to enhance employee skills and promote multifunctionality.
• Implement career development and succession planning initiatives.
• Utilize performance appraisal systems to review and improve employee performance.
• Collaborate with Human Resources Manager on hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and developments, attending and implementing relevant training programs.
