Many of their bus operations have been transitioned from government control, and no other operator in Australia has comparable experience in transitioning government transport contracts to the private sector.
About the Role:
Our client is looking to bring onboard a dynamic General Manager to act as the critical link between the client business and their people. This role ensures smooth and efficient day-to-day operations while maintaining a strong focus on resource and asset management, contractual compliance, and delivering safe, customer-centric services.
Ideally you will be a local to the area of Redland Bay or Stradbroke Island regions, as this role will oversee full bus operations and service delivery of the bus transport contract on Stradbroke Island.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee bus and staff operational movements for scheduled and charter operations.
- Ensure compliance with on-time performance and KPI metrics for missed trips and timing points.
- Fulfill contractual service delivery obligations.
- Manage scheduling, planning, and rostering requirements for the Operations team.
- Deliver services and resources in a cost-effective manner, staying within budget.
- Oversee Incident, Accident, and Emergency Management procedures.
- Manage account relationships and business development with key clients.
- Maintain relationships with key government, council, and regulatory bodies.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of Operations Management or General Manager experience in a small to medium-sized business.
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in Transport, Logistics, or Business Administration (desirable).
- MR (or greater) licence, Drivers Certificate, and Working with Children Check (essential).
