About the Role
One Harvest is seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager of Produce to lead our babyleaf, beetroot, and vegetable supply chain. The successful candidate will lead a team of regional supply managers to ensure the ongoing availability and competitiveness of raw materials in support of our strategic plans.
A day in the life
- Lead a team of Regional Supply Managers to work in partnership with our supplier base ensuring mutual sustainability, competitiveness, and innovation within our produce portfolio.
- Work with our manufacturing facilities, business partners and customers to exceed daily expectations while also ensuring the produce portfolio is supported and capable of delivering on strategic plans.
- To critically review our supplier landscape and determine the necessary strategies to strengthen our competitiveness and create value for our grower partners by being the best channel to market for their produce.
- In conjunction with the Chief Supply Integration Officer develop continuous improvement strategies that challenge traditional procurement models and captures the latest developments in horticultural innovation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the produce industry, with a focus on babyleaf, beetroot, and vegetable supply chains
- Strong commercial acumen
- Strong supplier engagement experience.
- Demonstrated success in leading geographically diverse teams
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
