ABOUT THE ROLE
Wungening Aboriginal Corporation is currently seeking a full time (75 hours per fortnight) General Manager of Programs to join the team in our East Perth Office.
Reporting to the CEO, this role is part of the Executive Leadership Team and is critical the success of several program areas. Key responsibilities include;
- Providing leadership, direction and supervision to staff.
- Programs Management including contributing to Wungening’s practice governance/quality and safety improvement service delivery models and providing monitoring and reporting to Funding bodies in respect of submissions and grant allocations.
- Ensure all programs are aligned with Wungening’s Strategic Plan, Clinical Governance Framework and integrated with the organisation’s Business Plan, the Quality Improvement Program and other accreditations.
- Relationship and stakeholder management
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (human services) or equivalent qualifications.
- Demonstrated extensive experiences in ability to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and applications of Aboriginal cultural protocols and terms of reference.
- Demonstrated experience in the following sectors (AOD, residential services, Justice, Housing and Homelessness) or similar services.
- Demonstrate achievements of effective leadership and management in planning, coordinating, evaluating and delivering a range of significant programs and new initiatives.
- Proven expertise in the implementation of a practice governance framework and knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement practice governance strategies and accreditation requirements.
- Excellent self-management skills and ability to organise tasks, assign priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a significant degree of autonomy and in a team environment.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with consumers, families, colleagues, other agency personnel and external stakeholders.
- A high degree of computer competency with a range of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook and a willingness to embrace new technologies.
