Position Summary:
As the General Manager you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of the RTO. The role requires a strong leader with extensive experience and excellent business acumen, and a commitment to delivering high-quality training programs. The General Manager will work closely with the Directors and team to develop and implement strategic plans, manage financial performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the Response Training goals and objectives.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the RTO, including, human resources, and compliance.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality training programs with a focus on remote training delivery.
- Meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage a team of trainers and administrative staff, providing guidance and support to achieve performance targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies and government.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including the Standards for RTO’s.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective governance and risk management.
- Lead and promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the organization.
- Represent the RTO at industry events, forums, and conferences to enhance its reputation and profile.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Diploma or higher qualification in education, business, or a related field.
- Experience in the training sector, preferably in a senior management role within an RTO.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead a team and achieve organisational goals.
- Strong business acumen, with experience in financial management, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing RTOs.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
- Experience in remote Northern Territory
