About the JobThe GM Strategy is one of the most critical, senior influencing and cross-functional leadership roles at Rest. Reporting to the Chief Strategy, People and Corporate Affairs officer, your role as the GM Strategy will be a key role, working with the Rest Executive leadership team, Board, Senior Leaders and others within Rest and across the industry.You will have overall accountability for
- Designing, facilitating, and delivering the overall Rest-wide strategy process, including Board-level and Executive-level strategic planning.
- Developing and managing an industry-leading strategic vision for Rest
Responsibilities- Design, facilitate, and deliver the overall Rest-wide annual and long-term strategy process, including running the annual Board Strategy process, and contributing significantly to annual Business Plans.
- Develop and manage an industry-leading strategic vision for Rest
- Lead a cross-functional strategic planning and strategy leadership group, to achieve alignment and integration of functional strategies across Rest.
- Bring best practice thought leadership and ‘outside in’ perspective to Rest.
- Provide strategic advice consulting as required, including regarding ad hoc matters.
- Work with internal teams and external stakeholders and partners to ensure there we maintain a comprehensive view of Rest’s strategic landscape.
QualificationsAbout You:- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- Advanced expertise in strategy development and strategic planning.
- Advanced expertise in facilitation of workshops.
- Demonstrated strategic ability and thought leadership skills.
- Advanced expertise in written documentation of strategy, strategic concepts, and strategic plans, including the effective use of Powerpoint (or similar tools) and Word.
- Demonstrated familiarity with superannuation inclusive of investments management.
