What you’ll do
As the General Manager Strategy, Architecture & Planning, you will be responsible for driving strategic thinking and planning, creating a culture of improvement and provision of world class Enterprise Architecture across the Tabcorp business, ensuring a common, consultative, and contemporary way of working for the Enterprise Architecture Centre of Excellence.
As an inspiring and collaborative leader with a strong understanding of contemporary approaches to work, you will continually guide and support technology performance & methods. You are a technology evangelist and are confident developing and setting direction on Enterprise architectural strategy and frameworks.
Your team will partner hand in hand with the CIO, across the business and Technology Leadership Team (TLT) to enable world-class execution of strategy through technology.
You may currently be in a ‘Head Of’ position and ready to take your career to the next level while being supported and developed, or a current General Manager seeking a new challenge in a dynamic, passionate team. You will have a strong technical background, having started your career as an Engineer or Architect, and come from high transaction environments with a digital, modern, and contemporary mindset.
What you’ll bring
- Extensive experience in disciplines such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment.
- Proven business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis.
- Previous experience in leading Enterprise and Solution Architects across a business to influence and drive business strategy.
- Astute at developing business aligned IT strategies, frameworks, and roadmaps (and communicating these).
- Familiar / experienced in agile, lean, DevOps, and other best (and next) practice. Success in applying contemporary practices to deliver measurable improvements to business alignment and IT delivery.
- An extensive understanding of the Information and Technology industry, as well as technology trends and next practice. In addition, understanding non-tech trends in the gambling or related industries.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships across business and technology teams.
- Solid understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity, risk, and compliance requirements in an ICT context (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, ISO 9001).
- Detailed knowledge of highly regulated industries (gambling and entertainment industries nice to have).
