As an
Executive Governance Analyst, you'll be a vital part in the Office of
Executive Governance (OEG), driving the delivery of Executive and Board Governance activities and processes. Your responsibilities will include supporting the implementation of key initiatives and governance activities such as the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR), Fit & Proper processes, and AML/CTF High-Risk role screening.The OEG serves as a primary point of contact for FAR Accountable Persons and Responsible Persons. Collaboration will be key, as you'll work closely with teams across Risk and Compliance, People, Culture & Advocacy, Legal, and Company Secretariat to ensure seamless compliance and policy adherence.
What you'll do- You'll work with a collaborative team to deliver significant regulatory changes with the implementation of the FAR. This will include the opportunity to contribute to FAR artefacts relating to directors and senior executives for Suncorp's insurance businesses
- Support Suncorp's Fit & Proper process, including conducting checks, annual declarations, APRA notifications, and maintaining the Responsible Person register
- Help maintain Fit & Proper and other governance artefacts and records
- Support Suncorp's Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) compliance by conducting ad hoc and three-yearly screening checks relating to High-Risk Role Employee Due Diligence
- Support Executive Governance activities relating to the Bank Transition Program
What you'll bring- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Compliance, Law, or related disciplines - desired
- Experience with governance arrangements and/or in a project delivery, legal, risk, or compliance role - desired
- Understanding of FAR and Fit & Proper requirements (or ability and willingness to develop understanding within a short period of time with team support)
- Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail and stakeholder relationship management skills
- Understanding of corporate governance arrangements and risk management practices
