Your part in the UnitingCare team:

We’re currently seeking a Group Revenue Operations Manager. This role will provide overall responsibility for developing and creating efficient policies, processes and systems for hospital booking, billing, collecting, and managing our hospitals revenue from health funds and non-traditional sources based on the services we provide.

Based at Ann Street and reporting to the General Manager Patient Revenue & Digital Health, you will:

• Work closely with the Group Health Information Manager, Group Clinical Coding Manager and Group Revenue Assurance Manager on all aspects of hospital revenue
• Manage the billing system developments and improvements, with a view to increasing front end controls and alerts
• Own and develop our Hospital Booking system (known as HABs) and related hospital booking processes (including via ED) to improve the information available to clinicians at the point of care in a digital health environment
• Maximise the information needed for accurate and timely billing and simplify hospital admission processes
• Work with key stakeholders to develop systems that will allow greater integration of theatre bookings with the administration at clinician offices to improve hospital forecasting and securing the highest levels patient privacy for these transactions
• Ensure effective management and continuous improvement of patient debtors
• Strive to continuously improve and streamline all core operational policies and procedures in relation to hospital booking, billing and analytics
• Manage the detailed weekly reporting of patient Discharges Not Invoiced (DNI), against agreed KPIs as well as the Aged Trial Balance (ATB)
• Oversee the annual operating budgets for the team, including strategic planning for provision of improvements required within these departments
• Drive collaborative and production relationships with key stakeholders

What makes a difference for us?

Essential:

• Knowledge of health fund arrangements in the Australian Private Health sector
• Experience and background in system development, testing and maintenance
• Experience in staff management
• Strong finance knowledge
• Demonstrated customer service skills at a high level
• Demonstrated experience in the use of medical terminology at an intermediate level
• Knowledge of contractual agreements and documentation regarding Private Health Funds
• Demonstrated IT skills preferably with SAP and advanced MS Excel capabilities
• Ability to interpret and analyse large complex data sources
• Ability to apply planning, coordination and time management skills to projects and tasks
• Sound communication and relationship skills

Desirable:

• Tertiary education in a related field (e.g. business, accounting, law)
