Generation Technician (Electrical)

Use your expert electrical skills to assist with maintenance of Hydro Tasmania’s Assets and Infrastructure.

• Provide technical support for the maintenance and refurbishment of generating equipment.

Salary range $86,529 – $106,421 plus area allowance and super

About You:

At least 3 years post qualification experience as an Electrician (Tasmanian Electrical Technician’s Licence or ability to convert) as well as safety being your top priority are vital skills to your success in this role. Your experience will also include:

• A collaborative approach to solving problems.
• Ability to communicate with and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Capabilities working autonomously including scheduling and prioritising your time to achieve positive outcomes.
• Experience with maintenance of industrial electrical/mechanical equipment.

About the role:

Based on the beautiful West Coast, you will be working with a team of mechanical and electrical fitters, operators, and maintenance assistants to provide technical support and maintain our assets and infrastructure. You will also be mentoring and supporting apprentices and setting them up for successful careers within Hydro Tasmania.
