We are expanding and looking for an experienced Store Manager to join us for our new location in Chadstone, Melbourne in July 2024. Full training will be provided including overseas training at GENTLE MONSTER HQ in Seoul for Store Manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Customer Experience

  • Ensure store standards both back and front of house meet luxury retail service standards
  • Lead the team in executing an exceptional customer service experience and creating memorable moments by exceeding their expectations; building long term customer relationships 
  • Ensure both exceptional personal and technical product service is consistently delivered 

Sales/ Revenue Management

  • Drive and maximise sales performance of the team to achieve and exceed sales budget objectives while ensuring operational integrity and monitoring monthly profitability
  • Demonstrate sales leadership by playing an active customer facing role on the sales floor through customer engagement
  • Communicates company set KPI’s for all quantitative and qualitative metrics; identifies and implements strategies to ensure performance standards are met for all the KPI's
  • Ensures that the Sales Team works towards achieving an outstanding rating in store customer experience

Store Management - Operations

  • Maintains operations by ensuring compliance with company’s Standard Operating Procedure
  • Ensures that the team is knowledgeable and adequately trained in store operations procedures
  • Maintains proper loss prevention standards and ensures compliance with cash handling, safe and deposits procedures
  • Promotes safe work habits and identifies and resolves any safety hazards

Stock Management

  • Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and existing customers
  • Reports on product performance, buying trends and customer needs
  • Conducts regular stock takes and store operations audits to ensure compliance with company’s Standard Operating Procedures
  • Develops and maintains a system for monitoring and controlling inventory 
  • Resolves discrepancies identified in the inventory report

People Management

  • Recruitment (in collaboration with Brand Manager, Human Resources Manager and Seoul based Retail Ops team), training, developing, and coaching all members of the store team to ensure high-performance, productivity, and enhanced customer engagement
  • Manage the allocation of staff resources and scheduling to effectively drive sales and ensure excellent customer service
  • Create and maintain a positive and professional team environment that fosters trust, integrity, and superior performance standards

ABOUT YOU

Essential Proven Qualifications & Experience

  • Sales achievement in the luxury retail environment 
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Eyewear industry knowledge is advantageous
  • Customer relationship management
  • Customer oriented
  • Initiative and Problem-Solving abilities

Functional & Technical Skills 

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Inventory Management systems knowledge 
  • English language proficiency (spoken & written)
