Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Melbourne, VIC for a Geotechnical Driller. The Geotechnical Driller will be responsible for operating a Hanjin D&B 8D drilling rig and undertaking drilling works onsite. The role holder will also be responsible for overseeing equipment maintenance and ensuring safety standards are adhered to at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience drilling in hard rock (NQ, HQ and wash boring with wireline and NMLC methods), and difficult ground conditions
• Experience with drilling rig operation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and documentation
• Experience in performing geotechnical and environmental investigations
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently or in teams
• Relevant qualifications in drilling, construction, or a related field
• Current First Aid and OH&S Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• A valid HR driver's license and reliable transportation
• Availability to work flexible hours and travel occasionally
